Biography
Jaime started his career as a trial attorney concentrating his early practice in transactional and litigation matters in the areas of general civil law with emphasis on insurance claims, torts, and mortgage closings. He found his niche, however, when his practice shifted to representing employers in a broad range of employment law matters before state and federal courts and administrative agencies, including claims of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful discharge, statutory leaves of absence, defamation, non-compete agreements, and other employment-related matters. He also regularly provides counseling on matters intended to minimize and avoid the risk of litigation and compliance with local and federal employment laws. To that end, he has extensive experience advising employers on the drafting of personnel policies, procedures, and employment contracts, and employee discipline and termination communications.
For the past several years, Jaime has also seen a substantial increase in his practice in the area of personal injury claims, with an emphasis on the representation of businesses against claims of slip and falls, auto accidents, and ADA public accommodations requirements, amongst others. With fifteen years of litigation experience, Jaime is now a seasoned litigator in any area of employment and civil and commercial law.
