Aguiló LLC advises employers undergoing reductions in force and other changes to its employment structures at all stages; that is, before, during, and after a reduction-in-force or reorganization. This includes an assessment of legal risks, identifying proper criteria under federal and Puerto Rico law by which to make reduction in force decisions, including compliance with the Puerto Rico Unjust Dismissal Act (commonly known as “Act 80”), the WARN Act (if applicable), crafting strategies and procedures for the reduction in force.
